Andy Lane Cox is a simple man who enjoys simple pleasures. You can find him on the streets of Denton hidden under a beard and behind a pair of cheap sunglasses. He enjoys short bike rides in extreme temperatures and has been known to swim like a wounded dolphin. Long before Ramblin' Jack ever uttered the words "Andy, come back!" our intrepid traveler was logging hours behind the wheel of his mighty silver diesel. Known to drive hours on end to visit some BBQ shack or have a little ice cream, our friend is sure to be in good humor when he gets there. Following in the footsteps of his heroes, such as John Prine and Roger Miller, Andy has a knack for finding song ideas in common everyday occurrences. As he writes this in third person he is grinning and no longer wishes to detail his songwriting prowess. Having occupied space in Denton for the last ten years he still refers to "home" as a place off in the woods along Mustang Creek, near Johntown Texas. Where the whippoorwill's would sing to let him know he could finally run bare foot through the meadows, yep, that's home. Where the stars all shine and the mosquitoes know no bounds. So to you, dear listener, sit back and let your mind drift into a place surrounded by trees and a gentle breeze and enjoy! Don't forget to smile:)
